Benjamin Hutcherson
Electric/Acoustic Guitar, Songwriting, Composition, Recording
Benjamin Hutcherson is a professional guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer. After spending more than a decade in higher education as a Sociology instructor at various institutions, he chose to pursue his lifelong passion as a full-time musician. He is the lead guitarist and co-vocalist of Nuclear Blast Records artist Khemmis–perhaps best known for their rendition of “A Conversation with Death,” which was featured in the hit video game series The Dark Pictures Anthology–as well as the vocalist and guitarist in Prosthetic Records artist Glacial Tomb. He has produced and engineered releases for both projects as well as for other rock and metal projects throughout Colorado.
Benjamin strongly believes that music plays an integral role in a healthy society, allowing people to better understand and express themselves as individuals as well as to find their place in larger communities of like-minded folks. Guided by his many years of experience–28 as a musician, 12 as a professor–he works closely with each student to build a personalized curriculum that fuels their excitement about their instrument(s) and challenges them to grow as a musician and as a human being. Whether you are a seasoned guitarist looking to expand your lick repertoire, a hobbyist who simply loves pickin’ and grinnin’, or a first-time strummer with dreams of playing your favorite songs, Benjamin would love to work with you to help you identify and achieve your musical goals.
