Trumpet

Hello there! I am a Golden based trumpet and music educator with nearly eight years of experience in music education. I earned my Bachelor of Music Education with a trumpet concentration from Colorado Mesa University (CMU) in 2020 where I played in the Wind Symphony, Marching Band, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band, and sang in the Women’s Choir. As a student, I worked as a camp counselor for both the Middle School and Elementary music camps offered by CMU in addition to keeping a small studio of private students. After graduating, I worked in Mesa County District 51 as a substitute teacher for both music and general education for the 2020-21 school year before taking a full-time position teaching K-5 General Music at an elementary school in the district. 

Though most of my experience is in large classroom settings, I look forward to working with students in one-on-one and small group scenarios. Music has played a pivotal role in shaping the person I have become. It is my passion to pass this down to the next generations. Music is the avenue through which I teach, but it is far from the only lesson I hope my students walk away with. There is no one size fits all method, and I tailor the curriculum to each student. My goal as an educator is for students to come to their lesson excited and ready to learn knowing they are loved and supported.
