Hi! My name is Scotty! I am a professional Drumset and Percussion player and have been playing drums and piano for 25+ years. I have a degree in Electronic Music Production from Berklee College of Music with a principle interest in drumming. This also means I have an extensive background in Music Production and World Percussion. I currently play drums and percussion with Denver’s own Brothers of Brass. In high school I marched Snare Drum and Tenors in both Outdoor and Indoor Drumline. I also played Marimba in the Marching Band Frontline using four mallet technique. I have played in Symphonic Band, Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, Big Bands, Jazz Combos, Rock Bands, Hip Hop ensembles, and Musicals. I played as a guest with the Airmen of Note in Washington, DC and various other professional Jazz Ensembles. I have an extensive background reading and writing all types of sheet music, music theory, and overall performance. I love teaching and have been working with students of all levels through all of those opportunities I mentioned before. I can’t wait to meet new students and hit the ground running in the amazing world of music. There is no greater joy for me than sharing the knowledge of drums and music I have with any and everyone!
